Prosecution probes ex-first lady's controversial India trip
Lee Jong-bae, a Seoul city councilor of the ruling People Power Party, arrives in the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office in Seoul on June 19, 2024, to undergo a probe as an accuser regarding a controversial trip by Kim Jung-sook, the wife of ex-President Moon Jae-in, to India in 2018. Lee accused the former first lady of abuse of power and losses to the national coffers related to her India trip, arguing Kim wasted 400 million won in state funds for her junket to the Taj Mahal.
