NAMYANGJU, Feb. 14(Yonhap) – S. Korean actor Jung Hae-in, the sixth-generation descendant of a great scholar of Joseon Dynasty Jeong Yak-yong, will guide the historic site of his ancestor.
Namyangju-si in Gyeonggi province said on Feb. 14 that it has launched an audio guide service that guides Jeong Yak-yong's historic site, located in Joan-myeon, by voice and Jung recorded a Korean audio guide.
The audio guide consists of 10 episodes about the story of Jeong Yak-yong's life, and it is 3 to 5 minutes per episode.
The audio guides in English, Chinese, and Japanese have also been prepared for foreign visitors, although they are not recorded by Jung Hae-in.
They can be used by scanning QR codes placed at the entrance of a historic site with a smartphone and connecting to the website.
Even if you do not visit the historic site in person, you can search for the "Audio Guide for Jeong Yak-yong’s Historic Site" on the online portal or use the smart tour guide application "Odii,” which is operated by the Korea Tourism Organization.
