SEOUL, August 26 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai's first generation of Grandeur and Pony Pickup, which were sensational in 1980, will appear in the Netflix movie "Seoul Vibe."

Hyundai Motor Company announced on Friday that they had collaborated with Netflix from the beginning of the production period. Old-fashioned cars such as Pony Pickup, first generation of Grandeur, second generation of Sonata, Stella, and Cortina appeared in the movie, and Hyundai also provided the old Wonhyo-ro, service center as a film set,

Korea's first independent production model, Pony, was remodeled as the first pickup truck, Pony Pickup, and this car plays a significant role in the scene where the main characters are collecting slush funds.

The first generation of white Grandeurs, also known as "Gak Grandeur' (angled model of Grandeur), also shows up in the movie.

Hyundai Motor Company will reveal the exterior silhouette of the new Grandeur, which will be released at the end of this year, in a cinematic digital advertisement video produced like a 'spin-off' of a movie made with the plot and cast members of the movie "Seoul Vibe." The new Grandeur is said to have inherited the design elements of the first generation of Grandeur.

They will also be creating a "Driving Zone" inside the metabus platform ZEPETO and recreate the main character's favorite place, the car repair shop "Ppangkkusa," and let people virtually experience driving or building the cars that appear in the movie.

Hyundai Motor Company will be exhibiting their tuned car and first generation of Grandeur, used in the mocie set, at Hyundai Motor Studio in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from August 29 until October 28. Visitors will be able to test drive the cars of the same model.

A Hyundai Motor official said, "We tried to deliver the unique charm of Hyundai that contains our history with a modern sensibility," and added, "We are going to continue providing our customers different enjoyments."
