Actor Kim Young-dae to begin mandatory military service April 20

SEOUL, April 13 (Yonhap) -- Actor Kim Young-dae will enlist for his mandatory military service on April 20, his agency Outer Universe said Monday.

Kim will quietly enter an army training center without holding any special event. After completing basic military training, he will be assigned to a unit for active-duty service.

Ahead of his enlistment, Kim reportedly treated agency staff to a meal, telling them, “Let’s turn the next page together when I return.” He is the agency’s first signed actor.

Kim made his debut in 2017 with the special season of the web drama "Secret Crushes" and rose to fame through works such as "Extraordinary You" and the "Penthouse" series.

He recently starred in "Dear X" and made a special appearance in "Boyfriend on Demand," continuing his active acting career before enlistment.
