SEOUL, Feb. 13 (Yonhap) - Save the Children, an international children's rights non-governmental organization (NGO), said on Monday that HYBE, the agency of the group BTS, has donated 500 million won for residents in Turkey and Syria.
According to Save the Children, HYBE explained the background of the donation, saying, "Since we are a company that has grown up with interest and affection for the entertainment industry sent from all over the world, we have joined relief activities for the rapid recovery of the affected areas."
The donations delivered by HYBE will be used to provide winter supplies for children, such as blankets and clothing, as well as water, food, medical supplies, sanitary kits, and temporary shelters for child protection.
Save the Children is collecting emergency relief for children and families affected by the earthquake. Five thermal blankets for 8,000 won and five mattresses for 20,000 won can be provided to residents.
