Cheonan City Government opens 'AR Sports Center' for disabled people

SEOUL December 28 (Yonhap) --  AR Sports center inside the Disabled Sports Center located within Cheonan City of South Chungcheong province has opened on Wednesday.

Newly opened space feature 260㎡ area where it visitors will be able to experience various sports using the technology based on the AR and VR. The space is divided into two spate part where one is called “Exciting Zone,” and the other is called “Multi Training Zone.”.

The “Exciting Zone” will feature, Baseball, Archery, Bowling, Handball, Basketball, and more where visitors will be able to experience such activities under the segment of extended reality of sports, and throughout the action floor visitors will be able to participate in screen shooting contents.

Throughout the multi training zone, visitors will be able to experience track and field on wheelchair, VR bike, indoor smart running, fitness and dance, 3 dimensional play has been placed.

Space provides over 12 various programs including cardiovascular activity which will boost participants health will be offered.

“Since anyone who is disabled and are in the mood to play sports can visit the facility despite of the weather condition, hence it will attract a lot of interest from those living within the boundary.” announced, official from Cheonan city government.
