SEOUL, September 19 (Yonhap) -- The 27th Busan International Film Festival will premiere a video footage of James Cameron’s "Avatar: The Way of Water" in Korea.
 
The executive committee of BIFF announced on Monday that they will be screening an approximately 15-minute video footage of Avatar: The Way of Water, which will be released in Korea in December, during the movie festival on October 6 at Theater 4, CGV Centum City.

 

"Avatar: The Way of Water"  is a squeal to James Cameron’s "Avatar" (2009), being released after 13 years. 


The movie will be released in December in Korea. 
 
The previous film, "Avatar," set a new box office record of $2.8 billion worldwide in 2009, maintaining its No. 1 position in the world so far.
 
It also attracted more than 13 million audience in Korea.
 
It is the first international movie released in Korea to reach a 10 million audience. 
 
Jon Landau, the producer of the film, will be holding a talk event on the day of the premiere.
 
He will provide a discussion on pertinent information about the film and its production. 
 
James Cameron will virtually join and meet with the audience at the Busan International Film Festival. 
 
The 27th Busan International Film Festival will start on October 5 and continue till October 14 at the Busan Cinema Center.
