Lee Beom-soo, Lee Yoon-jin finalize amicable divorce, end 15-year marriage

SEOUL, Feb. 6 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Beom-soo, 56, has reached an amicable divorce agreement with interpreter and translator Lee Yoon-jin, 43, two years after their separation.

Lee Beom-soo’s agency, Y.ONE Entertainment, said on Friday, “Through a mutual and amicable agreement, all legal procedures related to the divorce have been concluded.” 

The agency added, “After sufficient discussions, the two resolved their misunderstandings and have decided to support each other going forward as co-parents to their children.”

Lee Yoon-jin also shared her thoughts directly by posting a handwritten letter on social media. 

She wrote, “After bringing our approximately 15-year marriage to a close, Lee Beom-soo and I have gone through an amicable agreement and completed a consensual divorce. We have resolved the misunderstandings that arose from a lack of communication during our marriage, and from now on, we will respect and support each other in our respective roles as parents to our children.”

Lee Beom-soo and Lee Yoon-jin married in 2010 and have one son and one daughter. They previously showed their close-knit family life on KBS2’s variety show "The Return of Superman." However, news of their separation emerged in March 2024, after which the couple proceeded with divorce proceedings. 

Lee Yoon-jin is currently working as a Korean representative at a resort in Bali.
