SEOUL, August 10 (Yonhap) -- The 18th Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, Asia's largest music and film festival, will start its six-day journey from August 11 till 16.
According to the film festival secretariat on Wednesday, this festival will be held under the slogan “a tempo” (original speed), with 139 films from 39 countries being introduced.
With the film festival being held in proper operation after two years due to COVID-19, the representative music program “One Summer Night” will also be held.
Additionally, “Film Concert,” where one can enjoy a movie with the orchestra’s live performance in the background and the “Special Concert,” by Justin Hurwitz, the music director of the movie “La La Land,” will be held.
This film festival is attracting a lot of attention with a large number of foreign guests attending.

Many foreign filmmakers, including producer Love Martinsen and artistic director Maria Loohufvu of “Calendar Girls,” which has been nominated for the international work, and producer Krastyo Lambev of “The Naked Truth About the Zhiguli Band” are visiting Korea for this festival as well.
Meanwhile, 241 volunteers from this film festival gathered at the Semyung University Academic Hall on Tuesday for an inauguration ceremony.
They will be in charge of on-site support for the smooth operation of the film festival.
