SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korean webcomic titled “DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR” (hereinafter referred to as “DARK MOON”), which features and is published in collaboration with boy band ENHYPEN, has broken 100 million views.

The webtoon surpassed 100 million cumulative views and was ranked in the top five in seven language services, including Germany, Spain, China, France, Thailand, Indonesia, and English, the band’s agency HYBE announced.

“DARK MOON” has particularly performed consistently in the German and Spanish services by maintaining the No.1 spot among the webcomics released on Sunday for more than 10 weeks, confirming the positive remarks the artwork has garnered from the global market.

The high-teen romance webcomic tells the story of Su-ha, a student who distastes vampires, getting entangled with seven vampire boys at a boarding school. Based on the synopsis and characters planned and set by HYBE, Lang-tto -- a South Korean cartoonist who is known to have illustrated “Gadam Hangsul” -- was in charge of the content adaptation, along with Hyeni -- the writer of the webcomic “Gugu-kaka” -- in charge painting.

The riveting webcomic has been garnering worldwide readers’ attention with its seven mesmerizing characters along with a music video featuring the seven-piece group ENHYPEN.In addition, ENHYPEN also participated in one of the webcomic’s original tracks and released “One in a BIllion.”
