SEOUL, Feb. 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korean mega-hit rookie girl group NewJeans has hit 1 million copies for its debut album “New Jeans,” the group’s agency ADOR confirmed Monday.
After dropping their debut single “Attention,” the K-pop supergroup released their debut eponymous EP last August. The album sold a total of 1,036,811 copies as of Feb. 11 based on data released by the Circle Chart.
This marks the second million-selling album for the quintet, following “OMG” released this January.
NewJeans has been garnering both national and international attention over the past few months, with its pre-released single “Ditto” of their first single album “OMG” entering Billboard “Hot 100” for five consecutive weeks.
This group, formed by ADOR, a subsidiary of Hybe Corp. that stands behind BTS, is composed of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.
