Riot Game to host 'VCT LOCK // IN' in Sao Paulo

SEOUL January 20 (Yonhap) -- Valorant which is a first person shooting game created by game company Riot Games known for creating a world widely known MOBA game League of Legend will be hosting a international Valorant competition “VCT LOCK//IN” in Sao Paulo Brazil on February 13.

Total of 32 teams from all of the world were invited to participate in the “VCT LOCK//IN.” From South Korea, professional gaming team “DRX, Gen.G and T1 will participate in the competition. The final round of the competition will be held on May 4.

The upcoming competition which is being held in celebration of the kick off of the 2023 season will be the biggest competition in history of Valorant events and will be a separate event from the “Valorant Champions” which is planned out for the second half of 2023.

Total of 16 teams have competed in the previous “Valorant Champions” league in August 2022, as a result Brazil’s LOUD won the competition.
