SEOUL, April 3 (Yonhap) -- K-pop group Hearts2Hearts will sing the opening theme for the Japanese broadcast of Season 4 of the animated series "Catch! Teenieping," SM Entertainment said Friday.
Season 4, titled "Sweet and Sour Catch! Teenieping," follows a story set in Dessert Village, where a magical "Magic Sugar Ball" goes missing.
The series will premiere April 12 on Japanese broadcaster TV Tokyo’s animation program "Animori!" and will also air on children’s and animation channel "Kids Station" starting May 16.
Hearts2Hearts recorded the opening theme in Japanese, marking the group’s first participation in an original soundtrack.
The group released a Japanese version of its song "RUDE!" last month and is set to perform at TV Asahi’s global music festival "The Performance" in Yokohama on April 12, as well as at "KCON Japan 2026" on May 8 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.
