Former T-ara member-turned-actress Ryu Hwa-young to marry in September

SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- Actress Ryu Hwa-young, a former member of K-pop group T-ara, will get married in September, she said Tuesday.

Ryu announced through her social media account that she will hold her wedding ceremony on Sept. 12.

Her fiancé is known to be an older businessman.

"We have decided to become each other’s everything beyond love," she said. "I would appreciate it if you could continue to watch over our journey with warm support."

Ryu debuted in the entertainment industry in 2010 after joining T-ara as a new member.

Following her departure from the group in 2012, she transitioned into acting, appearing in films and television dramas such as "Ex-Girlfriend Club," "Comeback Mister," "My Father Is Strange," "Mad Dog" and "Exist Within."
