Police officers bring in Jeong dong-won for driving his motor cycle on two wheeled vehicle prohibited road

SEOUL March 23 (Yonhap) -- Seoul Dongdaemun Police Station has brought in South Korean singer Jeong Dong-won on Thursday for driving his motorcycle on two wheeled vehicle restricted road.

According to the police department Jeong Dong-won was brought in due to driving his motor cycle through Dongbu Ganseon Road at 00:16 towards Seongsu district Seoul on behalf of driving on a road which prohibits two wheeled vehicles from driving. After receiving a call regarding a motorcycle is driving on two wheeled vehicle prohibited road, police officers caught artist Jeong Dong-won on scene.

The road traffic law of South Korea charges up to 300 thousand won in fine or incarcerate those who drives motor cycle through two wheeled vehicle prohibited road.

Artist Jeong Dong-won was born on March 19 in 2007 and is known to received his license to drive motorcycle on March21.

The official from the police department stated “Since the artist is under age therefore we have decided to let him go at the moment, however we plan to bring him in with his parents for further questioning and to open Youth Leadership Review Board in a near future.”

Jeong Dong-won’s entertainment agency Show Play Entertainment addressed “Since the artist received his license not too long ago therefore he made a mistake of driving his motor cycle not knowing the traffic law,” adding “He is currently reflecting on his wrongful behavior and as his entertainment agency we will do our best to make sure such incident will never happen in the future.”
