LG H&H’s Physiogel launches two “Red Soothing Rosateca” products targeting 1st sign of skin stress, redness

SEOUL, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) — Dermatological beauty brand Physiogel under LG Household & Health Care has unveiled two new products under its “Red Soothing Rosateca” line, designed to relieve sensitive skin and redness.

The new lineup follows the success of the “Red Soothing AI Repair Cream,” which has recorded cumulative sales of more than 3 million units,the firm said on Friday. 

The Rosateca line consists of two products: “Red Soothing Rosateca Redness Reducing Serum” and “Red Soothing Rosateca Redness Correcting Cream.”

The company said the new products incorporate roughly 24 years of research expertise on sensitive skin accumulated since the launch of the AI cream. Physiogel defines redness not as a simple skin symptom but as the first signal of skin stress and has focused on fundamentally addressing various causes of redness in sensitized skin.

At the core of the brand’s newly developed REDUCEA Complex is troxerutin, an ingredient known for its effectiveness in caring for sensitive skin. Troxerutin helps calm the skin by managing what the company describes as the skin’s “sensitivity switch,” and its efficacy has been verified twice through SCIE-level academic journals.

The Rosateca line also contains ectoin, a soothing ingredient, and zinc for strengthening the skin’s moisture barrier. The company said troxerutin was identified through artificial intelligence-based analysis of more than 400,000 ingredients.

According to the company, the products demonstrated a 16.6 percent reduction in redness caused by ultraviolet exposure and a 4.7 percent reduction in heat-induced redness among menopausal women. Additional tests showed improvements in damaged skin barrier function by 81.2 percent, a 73 percent reduction in skin sensitivity and a 38.8 percent reduction in blemish marks.

A Physiogel official said the Rosateca line was designed to address redness — the first signal of skin stress — from the early stage, adding the brand will continue research and innovation to help resolve concerns related to sensitive skin.

The Red Soothing Rosateca line has been available since Feb. 23 through Naver’s “New Product Week” promotional event and will gradually expand to various online and offline channels, the company said.
