SEOUL, April 19 (Yonhap) -- Kobay Auction announced on the 19th that Goldstar's "VD-191," the oldest television product produced in Korea, was sold for 34.1 million won after 94 bids at an online auction that ended on the 16th.

The 19-inch black-and-white television VD-191, released in August 1966 had a starting price of 25 million won.

This TV has gained attention as it is said to be the same model as the product that was inscribed on the Cultural Heritage Of Early Modern Times of South Korea in the August of 2013. VD is the acronym of "Vacuum Desk Type," which means vacuum tube, and 191 means the first 19-inch television.

The device for manually turning the channel and controlling the volume are placed in the front, along with a supporter known as the "crane bridge." When the TV was first released, it was sold for about 60,000 won.

The product with the same model type has also been previously sold for about 30 million won on Kobay Auction.
