SEOUL September 21 (Yonhap) -- Confirmed cases of the black market ticket transactions of BTS’ free Busan concert in hope of hosting the Busan Expo in 2030 is leading up controversies.
According to the used trading sites on Wednesday, numerous amounts of posts in search for tickets to BTS’ free concert in Busan can be found.
Tickets vary from 100 thousand won up to 800 thousand won, but according to the rumor, some of the sellers who did not clarify the cost of the tickets will charge extra on top of the average market price of BTS’ free Busan concert.
Concerts held by BTS is known to have a very strict self-identification process before entering the place of the concert, therefore it is nearly impossible for those with transferred tickets.
Some of the sellers are prepare to transfer their own ID to the one who is willing to buy the ticket in preparation of BTS’ strict identification process, or some asked the buyers to bring their own method of transferring the ID if they want to buy the ticket for the BTS’ concert in Busan.
ID transfer methods are usually done by using a macro system or more, however this is illegal therefore the buyer has a high risk of falling into a scam.
Fans are encouraging people to stop with the black market transactions because it goes against the whole idea of free concert.
According to the post assumably written by one of BTS’ fans on one of the used trading sites, states “All black market ticket transactions are illegal,” encouraging those to report cases of ticket transaction to put a stop to such actions.
“If someone tries to reserve a ticket with a purpose to resell the ticket to others or make benefit off of them, they will be subject to immediate cancelation of their tickets.” described Hybe Entertainment.
