SEOUL, Feb. 12 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Je-hoon will star as a former lawyer in SBS’ upcoming legal series, tentatively titled "There Is a Winning Chance."
SBS said Thursday that Lee and actress Ha-young have been cast in the new series, scheduled to air next year.
The drama is a comedic legal mystery that follows an eccentric law office led by Kwon Baek, a former lawyer-turned-office manager, as the team finds unconventional ways to turn hopeless cases into winnable ones.
Lee plays Kwon Baek, once a star lawyer who lost his license after being embroiled in a bribery scandal and later returns as the office manager of the shabby law firm named "There Is a Winning Chance." It marks Lee’s first time portraying a legal professional.
Ha-young stars as Yeo Sim-hee, a rookie lawyer with no money or connections but unmatched diligence.
The series is directed by Kwon Da-som, who co-directed "Connection" and "My Demon," and written by Jung Jin-young and Kim Eui-chan, known for their work on "Soonpoong Clinic," "High Kick Through the Roof" and "Three Guys and Three Girls."
