'Baby Shark' Earns 3 Nominations at the Emmy Children's & Family Awards

SEOUL, Dec. 20 (Yonhap) -- The Pinkfong Company's "Baby Shark" movie and TV series have secured nominations in three categories at the International Emmy Children's & Family Awards, the company announced on Friday. 

 

Now in its third year since its establishment in 2022, the Children's & Family Awards celebrate excellence in family-oriented content. 

 

"Baby Shark" has been nominated for Best Voice Acting, Best Original Song, and Best Music (Sound Mixing and Editing), setting a record for the most nominations ever received by a Korean animation.

 

In the Best Voice Acting category, Kimiko Glenn, who voices Baby Shark in both the TV series and the movie, was nominated. The film's original soundtrack, "Keep Swimming," performed by K-pop group ENHYPEN, was shortlisted for Best Original Song. Additionally, the "Baby Shark" movie was recognized in the Best Music category.

 

A spokesperson for The Pinkfong Company stated, "This recognition not only showcases our production capabilities and artistry but also underscores the global competitiveness of K-animation. We aim to continue creating family entertainment content that resonates with audiences worldwide, transcending borders and generations."
