SEOUL, Jan. 30 (Yonhap) - The Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Palaces and Tombs Center has announced on Monday that it will hold a "Full Moon at the Palace" event around Wind Streamer Pedestal in Changgyeonggung Palace in Seoul from the 3rd to the 5th of next month to mark the first full moon of the Lunar New Year.

Wind Streamer Pedestal is a holder for flags that measures the direction and strength of the wind. It is a relic that gives a glimpse of the history of weather observation during the Joseon Dynasty, and is located on a hill behind the Jibbokheon of Changgyeonggung Palace.

At this event, you can see a large full moon model with a diameter of 3 meters.

The full moon model is to shine brightly for about 2 hours and 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Anyone can visit Changgyeonggung Palace and take pictures without a separate application for participation. However, if it snows or rains, the event will be canceled.

"It will be a good memory to feel the atmosphere of Daeboreum while taking pictures with family and lovers against the backdrop of the palace pavilion and a large full moon," said an official at the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center.
