SEOUL, April 8 (Yonhap) -- Jang Won-young of K-pop girl group IVE has been selected as the Asia-Pacific (APAC) hair device ambassador for Dyson, the company said Wednesday.
Dyson Korea announced the appointment on Monday, unveiling a new pictorial of the artist.
Jang was previously named Dyson Korea’s official domestic ambassador for its hair device category in April last year. She has participated in major product campaigns, effectively delivering innovative styling experiences to local consumers and demonstrating strong synergy with the brand.
She has drawn positive responses for her versatility in pulling off diverse concepts and her healthy, glossy hair, which aligns closely with Dyson’s technology philosophy centered on hair health.
With her new role as APAC ambassador, Jang is expected to expand her global activities across the Asia-Pacific region. She will introduce the latest hair styling technologies and trends through various campaigns with Dyson, broadening engagement with global fans.
“As an artist, hair styling is an important element in completing a wide range of concepts,” Jang said. “Dyson hair devices are essential items that help create diverse styles while maintaining hair health. I am delighted to share more styling inspiration across the Asia-Pacific region with Dyson.”
Kathleen Pierce, head of Dyson’s beauty category, also welcomed the collaboration, saying, “We are very pleased to partner with Jang Won-young, an artist with strong influence across the Asia-Pacific region. As a Dyson Airwrap owner, she embodies the brand’s values of beauty, performance and self-expression. We look forward to presenting new styling experiences that minimize hair damage together with her.”
IVE recently met fans in Kuala Lumpur on April 4 as part of its second world tour "SHOW WHAT I AM." The group will continue its tour across Asia, Europe and the Americas, including concerts at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan on April 18 and 19.
