SEOUL, Sept. 30 (Yonhap) -- The Cultural Heritage Administration's Palaces and Tombs Division, in collaboration with the National Heritage Promotion Agency, announced on the 30th that the 'Suragan Sisik Gonggam' event will be held at Gyeongbokgung Palace from October 23 to 31.

At Sojubang, the palace kitchen in Gyeongbokgung, participants will enjoy royal cuisine, traditional performances, and games. The event offers two experiences: 'Night at Saenggwabang' and 'Sojubang Gastronomy.'

'Night at Saenggwabang' allows participants to savor royal desserts while listening to traditional Korean music, while 'Sojubang Gastronomy' features a play centered around royal cuisine, followed by a tasting experience.

There will also be a 'Kitchen Alley' where visitors can sample royal snacks like raspberry jeonggwa and persimmon. Hands-on activities include making traditional multi-colored dasik (Korean tea sweets) and crafting fabric keychains.

Admission is through a lottery system for those who apply for tickets via Ticket Link between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on October 2. Winners can select their preferred date, with each session accommodating 32 participants.

Visitors dressed in hanbok will receive a commemorative gift. The event will not take place on October 29, when Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed.
