SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Yonhap) -- Kang Seung-sik from the South Korean boy group VICTON will serve in the military starting from Feb. 20, the group’s agency IST Entertainment confirmed.

Kang Seung-sik applied to join the Army Band and was recently notified of his acceptance by the Military Manpower Administration.

The singer shared his letter on the fan community platform Weverse Live Tuesday saying, “I promise to come back and continue to do my best to improve more. I will return safe and sound.”

VICTON consists of six members: Han Seung-woo, Kang Seung-sik, Lim Se-jun, Do Han-se, Choi Byung-chan, and Jung Su-bin.
