SEOUL, Nov. 5 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Jong-suk will take on the role of a ninth-year lawyer in his upcoming series, "Seocho-dong," his agency said on Tuesday.
The show is slated to air in the first half of next year, according to Lee's management, A-Factory.
Seocho-dong is a youth drama that portrays the everyday lives of law firm attorneys commuting to Seoul’s Seocho-dong legal district. A practicing attorney is handling the scriptwriting.
In the series, Lee Jong-suk will play An Ju-hyeong, a lawyer who became one simply because he finds cases interesting, with no particular drive to protect the vulnerable or pursue justice. Known for setting new salary records within the firm, his character is too indifferent to start his own practice.
The series will be directed by Park Seung-woo, known for "Kairos" and "Adamas."
