SEOUL, Feb. 14 (Yonhap) -- Korean animation companies achieved export consultation deals worth over 90 billion won at Kidscreen Summit 2025, a global conference for children’s media industry, culture ministry said on Friday.
In the annual event, held in San Diego from Feb. 9 to 12 this year, 17 participating Korean companies conducted a total of 347 business meetings.
The summit resulted in export consultations valued at approximately $62.8 million (about 92 billion won)—a 20% increase from last year, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

As one of North America's leading kids’ content networking events, Kidscreen Summit gathered over 1,500 industry professionals from 50 countries worldwide. The Korean Pavilion, organized by MCST and KOCCA, featured companies such as Neon Creation, Eunhoo Holdings, Iconix, and Young Toys.
Beyond export deals, Korean firms also signed co-production agreements with U.S. animation companies. Neon Creation secured a partnership with U.S.-based dubbing company ThreeBeep for the joint production of Bear with Us, while Eunhoo Holdings signed an MOU with Gamara Media to introduce Shadow Picture Fungus Tribe to the U.S. market.
KOCCA plans to continue supporting the global expansion of Korean animation through participation in upcoming international events, including China Hangzhou International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF), MIFA (Annecy International Animation Market) in France, and Asia TV Forum (ATF) in Singapore.
