SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- Actor Lee Yoon-hee, who appeared in Kdrama The Killer’s Shopping List and the film Secret Sunshine, passed away on Saturday at the age of 64.
His agency, Beom Entertainment, expressed their sorrow in a statement: "We regret to deliver the heartbreaking news of actor Lee Yoon-hee’s passing. We extend our deepest condolences as we bid farewell to him."
Born in 1960, Lee Yoon-hee debuted in 1985 with the play We Have Broth and pursued a dynamic career across theater, film, and television.
Lee is best remembered for his roles as a warm-hearted police station patrol team leader in the drama The Killer’s Shopping List (2022), and as Kang, who is tempted by Shin-ae (played by Jeon Do-yeon), in the film Secret Sunshine (2007).
Lee also appeared in numerous projects such as the dramas Secret Affair (2014), Save Me 2 (2019), and Taxi Driver (2021), as well as films including Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time (2012), The Classified File (2015), and Count (2021), where he left a lasting impression with his vibrant character portrayals.
His funeral service is being held in VIP Room 1 at the Ulsan Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession is scheduled for Jan. 13 at 8 a.m., with his final resting place at Ulsan Sky Park.
