TWICE to hold 5th world tour ‘READY TO BE’ in 14 different cities

SEOUL, Feb. 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korean mega-hit girl group TWICE will hold their fifth and largest-ever world tour “READY TO BE,” which will take the group to 14 major cities worldwide, including those in the U.S. and Japan. The nine-piece group will kick off their live tour in Seoul and will be holding 17 different gigs all across the world, the group’s agency JYP Entertainment confirmed Wednesday.

After staging their first gig in Seoul over two nights from Apr. 15 to 16, the act will then move to Sydney, Australia on May 3; Melbourne on May 6; Osaka, Japan on the 13th to 14th; Tokyo on June 20 to 21; Los Angeles, U.S.A. on June 10; Oakland on June 16; Seattle, Dallas on the 21st; Houston on July 24; Toronto, Canada on July 2; New York on the 6th; and winding down on the 9th in Atlanta. More cities are awaiting to be added to this list.

“This live tour will be the largest-ever tour by TWICE,” JYP Entertainment explained. “There will be a total of six concerts scheduled to be held at stadiums in the United States and Japan.”

The upcoming 17-stop live tour marks the K-pop girl group’s first world tour in about a year and four months since their latest live tour “Three” (III).

TWICE, who already boast a slew of mega-hit songs including “TT,” “Talk that Talk,” and “What is Love?,” is expecting to drop their 12th EP “READY TO BE” led by the title track “SET ME FREE” on Mar. 10.
