Yoo Ah-in partakes in police investigation regarding administration of Propofol

SEOUL February 9 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actor Yoo Ah-in is currently undergoing the investigation regarding the accusation of frequent administration of the substance propofol.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police on Thursday, actor Yoo Ah-in has been interrogated on February 6 regarding the allegation made about his use of propofol.

The police investigated the circumstances of actor’s administration of propofol after getting it prescribed from various hospitals for non medical perposes.

Moreover, the police collected the actor’s hair and sent it off to the National Forensic Service for an assessment, and grounded the actor form leaving the country.

The police force started their investigation by the request submitted from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety where the actor was being prescribed with propofol too frequently.

“Actor Yoo Ah-in has recently participated in the police investigation regarding the use of propofol,” adding “He will actively participate with all the related investigations and will explain the problematic sections being raised from the further investigation,” addressed actor’s entertainment agency UAA.
