SEOUL, Jan. 2 (Yonhap) — Actor Kim Woo-bin has celebrated the start of 2025 with a 100 million won (US$68,000) donation to Asan Medical Center in Seoul, his agency AM Entertainment announced on Jan. 1.
The donation will be used to cover medical expenses for underprivileged patients. This follows Kim’s earlier gesture last month when he sent Christmas gifts and handwritten letters to over 150 children in the hospital’s pediatric ward.
Kim Woo-bin debuted as a model at Seoul Fashion Week in 2008 before transitioning to acting with KBS’s drama special White Christmas in 2011. He gained prominence with roles in dramas such as School 2013 and The Heirs, as well as films like Twenty and Master.
In 2017, Kim was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, leading to a hiatus from his career. He returned to acting in 2022 with the film Alienoid and the drama Our Blues.
