Battle over K-pop agency
Lee Soo-man (L), founder and former chief producer of SM Entertainment, speaks during a dinner meeting of South Korean and Mongolian business leaders in Seoul on Feb. 14, 2023. The K-pop guru made his first public appearance since Hybe, the agency behind BTS, announced last Friday it will acquire Lee's 14.8 percent stake in SM to become its largest shareholder amid a battle with Kakao Corp. over the control of the company.
