U.S. Army's field tests of Hanwha Defense's Arion-SMET

A Hanwha Defense-made state-of-the-art unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) demonstrates self-driving during its performance test at U.S. Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, 65 kilometers south of Seoul, on Nov. 29, 2022. Earlier, the South Korean-made multipurpose vehicle, dubbed Arion-SMET, had been selected as one of the equipment for the Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) operated by the Office of the Secretary of Defense under the U.S. Department of Defense. The FCT aims to test items and technologies of U.S. foreign allies that have a high Technology Readiness Level for potential cooperation with the U.S. military's future modernization programs.
