Brazilian President Lula arranging visit to S. Korea: Cheong Wa Dae
SEOUL, Feb. 5 (Yonhap) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has accepted President Lee Jae Myung's invitation to visit South Korea, and the two sides are coordinating the schedule of the trip, Cheong Wa Dae said Thursday.
Lee's office said Lula's upcoming visit is currently "under consultation," adding that the schedule will be announced once it is finalized.
The two leaders first met on the sidelines of the Group of Seven summit in Canada in June last year. Lee later extended an invitation for Lula to visit South Korea during their meeting on the margins of the Group of 20 (G20) summit in South Africa in November.
Brazil is South Korea's largest trading partner in South America. Lula last visited South Korea in 2010 to attend the G20 summit.
