Late Korean War hero Paik Sun-yup's statue unveiled

Paik Nam-hee, the eldest daughter of the late Korean War hero Paik Sun-yup, delivers an appreciation address during a ceremony to unveil the statue of her father at the Dabudong War Memorial Museum in Chilgok, 215 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on July 5, 2023. Paik was South Korea's first four-star general and most renowned war hero, who led key battles during the 1950-53 war and contributed to the modernization of South Korea's armed forces.
