Motion on impeaching 2 prosecutors passed
Lawmakers of the ruling People Power Party stage a rally at the National Assembly in Seoul on Dec. 1, 2023, after the opposition-controlled parliament voted to impeach two senior prosecutors -- Son Jun-sung and Lee Jung-seop -- over a political meddling scandal and alleged irregularities that critics say are a pretext to punish Lee for overseeing an investigation into opposition leader Lee Jae-myung, respectively.
