Imports of Japanese beers rebound
Asahi canned beer is displayed at a convenience store in Seoul on May 9, 2023. According to the customs service, the country's imports of Japanese beer brands nearly doubled in the first quarter of the year on-year, the highest since Japan imposed export restrictions on its semiconductor materials to South Korea in July 2019. The restrictions caused a massive boycott of Japanese products in the country. (Yonhap)
