Bus, subway fares in Seoul to be raised

Buses are lined up to take on passengers at a bus stop in Seoul on July 12, 2023. The basic bus fare in the capital city is set to increase from 1,200 won (US$0.93) to 1,500 won starting from Aug. 12, with the subway fare also to be hiked from 1,250 won to 1,400 won beginning from Oct. 7. (Yonhap)
