U.S. spy aircraft on mission
A U-2S Dragon Lady, a U.S. high-altitude intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft, takes off from the U.S. Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, 60 kilometers south of Seoul, on July 11, 2023. The previous day, North Korea's defense ministry claimed that U.S. spy planes, such as the RC-135, the U-2S and the RQ-4B, had made "provocative" flights over the East Sea and the Yellow Sea from July 2-9 by intruding in its airspace. The North warned that there is no guarantee that such aircraft will not be shot down. (Yonhap)
