A hospital room at Pusan National University Hospital in the southeastern port city of Busan is empty on July 12, 2023, as the hospital has discharged some 1,500 patients due to concerns over an anticipated workforce shortage ahead of its unionized medical workers' strike under the guidelines of the Korean Health and Medical Workers' Union the following day.
