KOSPI plunges
An electronic signboard in the dealing room of a Hana Bank in Seoul shows the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) having nose-dived 30.28 points, or 1.19 percent, to 2,505.01 on Dec. 1, 2023. South Korean stocks closed sharply lower as semiconductor and battery shares took a cue from overnight losses in U.S. heavyweights like Nvidia and Tesla. (Yonhap)
