19th-century Korean map returns from Japan
"Daedongyeojido," a map of the Korean Peninsula created by Korean cartographer and geologist Kim Jeong-ho in 1861 during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-11910), is unveiled at the National Palace Museum of Korea in Seoul on March 30, 2023. South Korea's Cultural Heritage Administration retrieved the map from Japan, although the collector's identity has not been disclosed. (Yonhap)
