S. Korea succeeds in L-SAM missile interception test
A Long-range Surface-to-Air Missile (L-SAM), a key homegrown missile interceptor under development, is launched from the Anheung testing site of the state-run Agency for Defense Development in Taean, 109 kilometers southwest of Seoul, on May 30, 2023, in this photo released by the defense ministry on June 1. The agency said it has succeeded in an interception test of the missile, the third such success out of four tests so far, as it is cranking up efforts to deter evolving North Korean threats.
