
Red bean porridge
Volunteers prepare red bean porridge, called "patjuk," at a senior welfare center in the southeastern city of Daegu on Dec. 11, 2025, 11 days before Dongji, the winter solstice. Patjuk is a beloved Korean dish traditionally enjoyed on Dongji, one of the 24 seasonal divisions of the year. (Yonhap)
