Ravaged rice field

Farmers turn over their rice field in Buan, about 280 kilometers south of Seoul, on Oct. 8, 2021, as the region was severely blighted due to unusual weather ahead of the harvest. They called for the government to designate the area as a disaster zone. (Yonhap)
