Truckers' strike
Unionized truckers hold a news conference in front of the main gate of a cement maker in Incheon, 27 kilometers west of Seoul, on Nov. 30, 2022, declaring the refusal of the government's return-to-work order on striking truckers. The previous day the government issued the compulsory order on some 2,500 cement truckers first in consideration of the severity of the strike's impact on the country's economy. Truck drivers went on strike nationwide on Nov. 24, demanding the government extend temporary rules guaranteeing minimum freight rates, citing high fuel prices. (Yonhap)
