The minister recently scrapped a project to build an expressway linking Seoul and Yangpyeong, 52 kilometers east of Seoul, after Lee Hae-chan, former chairman of the main opposition Democratic Party, alleged that President Yoon Suk Yeol had changed the route of the expressway to benefit the family of his wife, Kim Keon Hee.
