BLACKPINK scores 3rd No. 1 on Billboard Global 200

SEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- Girl group BLACKPINK has claimed the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts with its latest digital single, "Jump," Billboard said Tuesday.

It marks BLACKPINK's third time topping the Global 200 and fourth time leading the Global Excl. U.S. chart, making it the first K-pop girl group to simultaneously top both charts. It also sets a new record for the most No. 1s by a K-pop girl group on each chart.

The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories worldwide, compiled by Luminate, a U.S.-based entertainment data and analytics company. The Global 200 includes data from all regions, while the Global Excl. U.S. chart excludes the United States.

Released July 11, "Jump" garnered 123 million streams to debut atop the Global 200. It marks the highest streaming total for a song released by a female artist worldwide this year.

On the Hot 100 main songs chart, "Jump" debuted at No. 28. With this achievement, BLACKPINK extends its record as the K-pop girl group with the most entries on the chart, now totaling 10.

The quartet is in the midst of its "Deadline" world tour, which includes 31 concerts across 16 cities. Following successful shows in Goyang, South Korea, as well as Los Angeles and Chicago, the group is set to perform in 13 more cities, including Toronto, New York, Paris, London, Singapore and Tokyo.
