20-million-year-old fossil tree

This photo taken Feb. 14, 2023, shows the exhibition of a fossil tree from the Miocene epoch of the Cenozoic era at the Natural Heritage Center in the central city of Daejeon. The 20-million-year-old fossil tree, which has a length of 10.2 meters and a width of 0.9-1.3 meters, was excavated in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, southeastern South Korea, in 2009 as the largest one ever found in South Korea.
