KBS chief's press conference

Kim Eui-chul, head of state broadcaster KBS, holds a news conference on the government's move to separate the collection of its license fee from the electricity bill amid overwhelming public support at the KBS headquarters in Seoul on June 8, 2023. Kim expressed an intention to resign if the government withdraws the step. KBS has charged a monthly fee of 2,500 won (US$1.91) to households on top of their electricity bills since 1994.
