Calling for strengthened quarantine of GMO plants
Members of a civic group stage a rally in Seoul on May 12, 2023, to call on the government to strengthen its efforts to quarantine imported plants of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The rally came after the government decided in March to take measures to collect and dispose of genetically modified zucchini pumpkins that were not approved in the country and were distributed.
